We are pleased to share an in-depth look at our benefactor, Mr. Thomas McCormick, whose generous support of the Women’s Christian Association enabled them to continue their care for the elderly in our community – a legacy dating back to 1892. This presentation is the latest in our offering of Women’s Christian Association presentations that outline our history in the London community.

Thomas McCormick was a well-known businessman and philanthropist in London and the surrounding area for many years at the turn of the 20th century. This presentation takes an in-depth look at the story of his life and his contributions to our city, both professional and charitable, and how his legacy lives on in the home that bears his name.

As with all our historical presentations, I encourage you to review the acknowledgements, as it was largely the efforts of a number of authors, researchers and reporters over the years that proved invaluable to this project.
