Partnerships

We recognize the importance of education in continually improving the model of dementia care and are pleased to partner with educational institutions for learning enhancement, training and internship opportunities.

We invite you to review the following examples of some of our most recent partnerships:

McCormick Mobile Care Partner Education

McCormick Dementia Services has partnered with Western University to assess the impact of a new form of dementia care partner education. McCormick Mobile is a pilot research project involving an intensive training program that occurs in the care partner’s home, with support from the McCormick Mobile team. The program involves dementia care education on the following topics: communication strategies, simplified nursing care, behavioural interventions and meaningful activities. This is all done with the care partner and the person whom they are caring for, which ensures a personalized experience.

McCormick – Faculty of Health Sciences at Western Partnership

McCormick Care Group and the Faculty of Health Sciences at Western University have a long-standing research and educational relationship. In 2023, we formalized our research partnership with the Faculty of Health Sciences. This research partnership is driven by a steering committee to oversee a sustainable and mutally beneficial collaboration. We strategically leverage the expertise of researchers and McCormick Care Group staff to co-create initiatives focused on improving dementia care.
